Barely Maps

A few years ago, I took a one-year, solo bicycle trip around the U.S. and Canada. I rode over 11,000 miles in one big loop.

After the trip, I designed some graphic maps inspired by the places I visited, and opened an online shop called Barely Maps.

Since then, my designs have been featured in Hana Hou!, Bloomberg CityLab, Hawaii News Now, Curbed, and the Seattle Times.

In 2019, I compiled my first 100 map designs in Barely Maps: the Book. In 2021, I created a digital book of 100 Maps of Moby-Dick. I’m currently finishing up my next book: 100 Maps of Hawai‘i Island.

I live and work on the Big Island.
